Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited SOS Village and watched a cricket match between Girls Cricket Team of Punjab Police and Girls Team of SOS Children Village. Senior officers including MD Punjab Safe Cities Authority Ahsan Younas, CTO Lahore Amara Athar, ASP Shahrabano Naqvi accompanied the IGP. IG Punjab and CTO Lahore distributed football, cricket bat, badminton racket and other sports equipment among the children. IG Punjab encouraged the young players participating in the match. On this occasion, prizes and gifts were also distributed among the players by the Punjab Police. The children of SOS Village were delighted to receive sports equipment and gifts.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar played cricket with the orphans at SOS Village Sports Ground. He did bowling to the children batsman. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while speaking said that today we have come to share happiness with the children living in SOS Village, we want to spread a smile on the faces of these orphaned and helpless children by giving them some moments of happiness. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that the Punjab Police is taking all possible measures to support orphans and destitute children from the platform of the Protection Center and in this regard, more measures will continue with the cooperation of other public and private institutions. Director SOS Village Almas Butt thanked IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar for his special expression of love towards the orphans.
